Wedding Receptions at The Bowery Hotel

We work in venues all through the Tri-State area. From apple orchards in the Hudson Valley to lofts in Brooklyn, we are lucky to be a part of so many different wedding days! However, there is one place that has a special place in our heart, The Bowery Hotel. It is such a special property with so much character and style, but it is always amazing to see what each couple adds to the space. We have seen it change from a light and airy Spring wedding, to a lush and floral fall event, all with special details that personalize it to each couples tastes.

Since we have seen so many different wonderful looks at The Bowery Hotel, we thought we would share a few of them with you. If you are newly engaged and looking for a space, we want to show you what a few different couples have done to make it their own!

This post will focus on the receptions, as that is what we usually get questions about. But don't worry, we will get to ceremony set-ups soon!

Two long tables in the main room are typically the way that guests are seated. Perri & chose a soft ivory linens and florals to run along the tables. They added custom burlap runners to give the look a different texture. A row of candlesticks added to the romantic vibe of the table. Photo by Kristy May.

Thinking about a fall wedding? Look at the fall explosion that LMD Designs created in the space. The fall colors filled the main room as guests dined, again on two long tables, surrounded by the colors of the season. Photo by Christian Oth Studios

Thinking of something in the summer season? Well, check out this floral design by Belle Fleur done in all white. The crisp white linens, lush white florals, and taper candles in varying heights helped give this space a fresh and summery look. This look was captured by Christian Oth Studios. I have added a close up of the table, but if you want to see more, you can see more in Bride's Magazine !

Okay, so now to show you a different set-up. Annie and Neil decided to spice things up, and rather than use the "reception room"  for dining, they opted to use the other room. Slightly different in it's layout, but equally stunning! My favorite part of this wonderful reception are the textured linens that give the table settings such an amazing texture! Loving the space, but feeling like you need more space? You can split guests up between the two rooms like Elizabeth & Greg. The glass walls and keeping the doors open made this setup feel the rooms feel connected with this set-up. Gorgeous florals by Saipua and candle light made the room feel warm and cozy. These layouts are all different, but all stunning. There is no way to go wrong at the Bowery Hotel! If you are getting married at this venue we hope that these photos help you start to think about how you would like to see the room! If you aren't, then I hope that these table settings inspired you!!

Perrie & Adam at The Bowery Hotel

Perrie and Adam had a wedding date set for late August, but Hurricane Irene had other plans. A day before the wedding, they choose to re-schedule their event to keep friends and family out of harms way in case the storm was as bad as predicted. So, we re-scheduled to the only date the Bowery still had left that year!  Perrie and Adam got an early honeymoon and gorgeous weather on their "new" wedding day!

We were in LOVE with Perrie's dress! The nice weather allowed for wedding portraits on their Bowery Hotel suite's terrace.

So happy to share these amazing photos!

Jennifer & Steven at The Bowery Hotel

We are in love with this Fall wedding at The Bowery Hotel!

Let us begin with the stunning invitation suite designed by Ceci New York. You can see about the inspiration and design process of this stunning invitation suite on Ceci Styles! The Bowery is always an amazing location for getting ready photos! This bridal suite gave the amazing photographer at Christian Oth Photography an amazing backdrop for "getting ready shots".

Stunning florals by Rountree Flowers gave the venue a hint of fall, with a LOT of romance. We simply loved the bride's bouquet with a simple pin giving it a bit of sparkle!

Now, the real show stopper here was the AMAZING cake by Bee's Knees Baking Co! Tired of the cupcake tree? Well, this might be the new wedding trend!

Kristen & Chris at The Bowery Hotel

Meet the calmest couple ever.  From the minute I met them, they were nothing but laid back, calm and collected…and very happy! They put a huge emphasis on being gracious hosts, making sure their guests were well taken care of at every turn.  Kristen and Chris kept the fireplaces roaring all night, the pool table open, the drinks flowing, and the dance floor packed!  As you can see from the photos, it was anything but a laid back wedding! My personal favorite part of the day, when the Bride and Groom had their first dance to “The Promise,” by When In Rome!  Florist – Seaport Florals

Marcella & Jason at The Bowery Hotel

Marcella and Jason were beyond fantastic to work with.  They had amazing vision, an unlimited amount of patience and family arriving from what felt like every far corner of the earth!  Each element of the wedding meant something personal to the bride and groom.  They had their first meeting pictures at Madison Square Park, near their apartment, before arriving for their ceremony and reception at The Bowery Hotel.  On their sign in table, they displayed black and white  photos of friends and family members. They made fantastic entertainment choices: a Tabla duo to play traditional music during their ceremony, a quartet for cocktails, and then a total party-like-crazy 10 piece band for the reception and a DJ until 2 am!  If I haven’t been successful in truly setting the stage as to how much this day meant to this couple, just look at the photos, it’s all there! Congratulations Marcella and Jason!

Ali & Matt at The Bowery Hotel

Ali and Matt were married in the Hamptons the day prior to their big party at The Bowery Hotel. They wanted to host a full on, absolutely no-holds-barred extravaganza the next day, and they succeeded. Their reception was black tie (Ali wore the most amazing dress) and the guests were treated to a sit down meal followed by desserts, dancing and late night treats. The couple had biscuits from Peels delivered in take home bags, so the guests could grab them on the way out - the smell was outrageous!

Becky & Jon at The Bowery Hotel

Can’t you just see how much these two are in love? Becky and Jon were an amazing couple to work with. They put heartfelt personal touches in every aspect of their planning and presentation – from making their own favors (jars of honey used as seating placements) to presenting their good friends (who introduced them to each other) with a bottle of champagne and a ‘thank you’ speech! They honestly didn’t forget a thing! Jon’s family flew in from all over the country and Becky’s family traveled in from closer origins; together they partied all night like they’d all known each other forever. Once this crowd started dancing, DJ Phil kept them on the floor until the very end. The room was full of smiles and genuine love for this couple, it was an amazing night. I wish them all the best of everything for years to come! – Anna PS – Just look at that cake! Amazing!
